It's the start of both a brand new year and the Q1 2009 Win-a-Samsung-Phone-per-quarter competition!
As with the previous competition, the Samsung Blog would like you to be an active member of the Blog for a chance to win a Samsung phone (model to be confirmed at a later stage)! Samsung Blog member, Mrjusticem won the last quarter's competition, bagging himself a sexy Samsung Soul.

How it works

We award Samsung Points for for blogging about Samsung Mobile and general mobile technology, commenting on blog posts, and writing phone reviews. The target this quarter is 1,200 points and the first Samsung Blog member to reach it wins the prize. This time we've also introduced Bonus points in which the really good stuff which is promoted to the front page featured (as determined by the moderator) gets double points. This means that if your blog post, for example, gets recognised in this way you get a total of 40 points!
Here's a breakdown of how Samsung points are allocated:

We encourage you to create high-quality work that:

1. does not infringe on copyright law (if it does, you'll be blocked from the Blog entirely)
2. credits its sources where applicable
3. contains accurate information. Always double-check your facts
4. is as original as possible. We really want to get YOUR views on phone reviews and not just facts that the Samsung Blog already provides
5. has been checked for spelling and grammar. If we need to do a lot of work editing your submission it might not ever see the light of day
6. is at least 300 words long. Ok not really but it needs to be more than just a few words (we've seen this before)
7. you can be proud of!

A few rules

• You may not use blog posts for support queries. Rather call Samsung Support at 0860 SAMSUNG or, if really necessary, use the special support section for that (click on 'support & FAQ' in the top menu).
• Please search the Blog to see if your topic has already been covered. Again, be original.
• The Samsung Blog reserves the right to revoke a member's user points should the content be deemed irrelevant, inflammatory, low-quality or otherwise considered unacceptable by Samsung Blog moderators. By your participating on the Samsung Blog you are automatically agreeing to this condition.
• The decision as to which content receives Bonus points is not contestable so don't ask.
• You must remain a member of the Samsung Blog for the full duration of the competition or your prize will be given to the next qualifying Samsung Blog member.
