MXit Windows Mobile for Samsung Handsets

The wait is finally over, we have some very exciting news!
With more and more of the newer phones coming out that are Windows Mobile based, MXit has released a specific version just for this operating system.
Our Windows Mobile Version has been launched and is available from http://www.mxit.com/wap
Below is a feature list of what this version all supports. It does not support all the features that are found in the Java Client but we are constantly upgrading this version including new features.
The Samsung handsets that will be able to use this version includes: i310, i320, i320N, i325, i600, i607, i620, i640, i710 and soon to be the i900.

The WM client is a plain
Submitted by MXit_Team on Tue, 2008-11-18 16:01.The WM client is a plain version at the moment where we will still be adding a whole lot of new features plus the ability to skin this version.
New things to come on MXit? Well, the Blackberry version is close to release plus we are busy with the development of the iPhone version.
We are also revamping our MXit PC Client and adding more support for Windows Vista and Linux.
Plus loads of new services ;)

The phone version for the Nokia N95 is the best version to use until it is supported by MXit.

Get correct GPRS settings

* CellC users: Dial *147#
* MTN users: Dial *123*13#
* Virgin Mobile users: Go to the Virgin Mobile menu on your phone and select "Virgin Settings". When prompted to download the settings, reply "YES".
* Vodacom users: Dial *111# (select option 4 or 5)
Once you receive the settings, save them and set them as your phone's default GPRS internet settings
Download MXit:
1. On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Internet" - "Go to URL"
2. Enter the following URL: http://www.mxit.com/wap
3. Press "OK"
4. Follow the on-screen steps to download the version of MXit for the Nokia N95

You can either push the down key on the keypad which scrolls down line by line or you can use the number 9 key to scroll down page by page.

MXit on Samsung i780

I am however trying to change my personal profile but are not given the option to do so. I also downloaded the Java version and tried to register as a new member, but I can't scroll down to enter my birth year (I've tried using the 9 key - does not work). Help!

i780 No pin allowed

We are aware of this issue, it started occuring when 5.8.2 was released.
To log into your profile please delete the current version on your phone and then download previous version 5.7.2 until we release a bug fix release to fix your issue.

Under your settings on the phone you will have slide options whereby you are able to set what action the phone must take when sliding it closed.
for you to effectively run MXit while the phone is closed you will need to select an option there that does not terminate any open appications when closing.

Have you tried using the java version of MXit on your phone? This I think will be best until we have an updated release for your phone.
Samsung phones

I had the first version of Mxit for Windows installed and although shaky, worked fine (nothing a restart couldn't fix).
I decided to upgrade, but now nothing. V1.3 get stuck at the login screen or comes with Activation failed error. V1.2 downloads but does not install. I thought it was a software issue so had Windows reloaded, but no change.
Any suggestions?
