The Samsung guestbloggers who were involved in an earlier competition have nominated charities to which they'd like the Samsung i600 Blackjack and E250 to be donated.
Nico Olwagen has chosen The Living Math Project, an NGO which addresses the shortage of people with mathematical skills and so provides classes for pupils struggling to grasp the fundamentals of this discipline and promotes mathematics as a career.
Teria Albertyn chose Bosom Buddies, "a non-profit Christian organisation that services a local state hospital providing nappy-bags with clothing, blankets and products for the newborn as well as hygiene products for the mother".
Deshanta Naidoo has nominated the Alexandra Home for the Disabled. The home is a safe haven for many of the township's and surrounding areas' people with mental and physical disabilities, and helps fight the stigma that surrounds being disabled in the community. Through the creation of arts and crafts, the Home is empowering their occupants to utilise skills that will enable them to re-integrate themselves into society. The phones could be utilised for telethons and sms campaigns to generate necessary funds that will go towards maintaining the home and helping to market the crafts and goods that are on sale from the home.
Rafiq Phillips has chosen Joachim Malilanga, who was mentioned in an earlier post.
