A brief introduction to the Samsung NextHero campaign.

Samsung’s Dealer/Consumer trip to Chelsea vs Arsenal

Daniel Lamberti and Didier Drogba, London

I recently had the privilege of taken a few dealers and consumers to the Chelsea vs Arsenal game at Stamford Bridge in London. This was part of the Samsung Next Hero Campaign.

Although Chelsea lost the game was very exciting and we all got to meet Didier Drogba in person. See attached some pics from the trip.

Great to be working for a company who sponsors one of the World’s top teams…

All the best,

Daniel Lamberti

Samsung Next Hero Gala Dinner Review

Samsung NextHero Gala Dinner

The tables were set, the rehearsals were done, the décor was all set up and we were waiting for all the guests to arrive for the Samsung J700 Next Hero Gala dinner. This would be the culmination of a three month campaign where with the help of the sales from the J700 handset we would be giving away a cheque to Play Soccer South Africa for R1 Million.

This campaign was all about giving back and developing talent at grass roots level. With the help of our two worthy Brand Ambassadors, namely Shaun Bartlett and Itumeleng Khune we held two soccer clinics in Gauteng which were a huge success. Kids in underprivileged areas were able to meet their Heroes for the first time and interact with them. The whole aim of this campaign was to inspire future heroes.

Samsung NextHero : Shaun Bartlett interview

I recently caught up with Shaun Bartlett at the latest Samsung NextHero Soccer clinic. He's a very genuine human being, very friendly, and he was very involved with the kids during the day. The kids loved spending time with this soccer legend.

A quick interview with Shaun Bartlett at the last Play Soccer and Samsung NextHero soccer afternoon.

A Samsung NextHero soccer afternoon

Sky1

Last Wednesday (22nd of October) I had the privilege of attending a NextHero soccer clinic in Rondebult near Vosloorus. I'll be honest, I was not in the mood for it (I know I'm being blunt), I was having an awful day, nothing seemed to be going right, and now I had to go and watch kids play soccer.

Win with J700 and the NextHero Campaign

If you've been following the Samsung Blog, you'll know that Samsung and Play Soccer South Africa launched the NextHero campaign a few weeks ago. The intention behind this campaign is to provide funding to allow young soccer players to pursue stardom. Samsung plays a huge role in this sponsorship.

For every J700 sold, a portion of the sale will go towards to funding the growth of young soccer stars. The J700 itself is an awesome phone. With a 1.3 Mega Pixel camera, MP3 and video player, and Bluetooth, the J700 has a great feature set in a sturdy slider format. We're currently using one at the office and its proven to be extremely user-friendly.

Samsung NextHero campaign interviews

I recently had an opportunity to chat to Shaun Bartlett (a soccer legend in his own time), Itumeleng Khune (an upcoming Bafana Bafana player), and Daniel Lamberti (from Samsung Mobile Marketing). Absolutely great guys, with a lot of vision.
